Masuknya air dan garam mineral ke dalam akar tumbuhan terjadi secara Difusi-Osmosis

Osmosis  jika zat pekat dan encer dalam kondisi Isotonis kiri dan kanan sama rata pada pipa U
Difusi jika zat pekat dan encer dalam kondisi Isotonis kiri dan kanan tidak sama rata pada pipa U

Ciri tumbuhan monokotil ; ikatan pembuluh kolateral tertutup, berkas pembuluh tersebar, pada ujung akar terdapat kaliptrogen

Aktivitas Kambium ; ke arah luar membentuk Floem Sekunder dan ke dalam membentuk Xilem Sekunder

Kambium Batang ; Menghasilkan unsur Xilem, Floem, jari-jari Empulur

Jaringan Meristem ; sel-sel tersusun rapat dan terus membelah, dinding sel tipis

Xilem ; mengangkut air dan mineral, Floem ; mengangkut hasil fotosintesis

Parenkim ; sel-sel sekresi yang menghasilkan getah/damar, merupakan sel dasar

Sklereida ; dinding sel tebal dan banyak noktah

Modifikasi Epidermis ; bulu akar, tutup stoma, rambut kelenjar

Gutatoda ; berfungsi untuk pelepasan air jika penguapan sedikit terlalu banyak air diserap

Ikatan Pembuluh Dikotil ; kolateral terbuka dan selang-seling

Pembatas Korteks dan Stele akar ; Perikambium

Jaringan berkloroplas ; Palisade dan Spons

Transportasi air Ekstravaskuler ; Epidermis - Endodermis - Perisikel - Xilem
